Busy Weekend

Wow! what a busy weekend. While still packing, we managed to do home repairs, and a yard sale! My in-laws have helped us so much with patching hole and painting etc..I am so grateful to them! Maybe one day I will learn how to do that kind of stuff too! ;-) We should be finding out this week all the final odds and ends about the house we are trying to buy. I pray that if it's the Lord's will, it will all go smoothly. I will no longer be selling Avon for those of you who buy from me, but if you need a contact person, please let me know. Hope you are all starting your week out with smiles and thanksgiving! Have a great week!

For those who never saw the baby pics..one is me and one is my youngest daughter.
Do you think we favor?

Breakfast bread

Just wanted to share a great bread recipe that I got from Candy's website at www.keepingthehome.com It is a great breakfast bread and very easy to make.

In a medium to large mixing bowl, combine all of the following ingredients:

- 1 cup whole wheat sourdough starter

- 2/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

- 3 omega 3 eggs

- 1/2 cup pure, raw honey

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 1/4 teaspoons aluminum free baking powder

- 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract

- 2 cups whole wheat flour (Gold Medal or better, but not Hodgson Mill)

Mix all of the above ingredients together, and then pour the thick, sticky batter into a greased bread loaf pan, and bake at 350 for 55 minutes.

TWEAKS: I added Reece's peanut butter chips and used unbleached whole white wheat flour. I used King Aurthur's flour and it turned out great! Thanks again to Candy for a great recipe.

It's Saturday!

Good morning! I just wanted to post a quick note..We signed a contract on a house last night! Yeah! I am so excited...I will be moving about forty minutes from where I am now. The place is beautiful and we will have plenty of space to roam and learn during school time. My husband works so hard and he REALLY deserves to have a home that reflects that. We will have 13 acres with a creek, beautiful old trees and a grassy knoll. The trees will be great for a tire swing and I would love to do some of our school at picnic tables there. The kids will have room to ride four wheelers and my sweet husband will have shops to work in. If it's the Lord's will, I pray that everything will go smoothly and we will close the first of August. Keep us in your prayers. Enjoy your weekend! ..check out flylady's website for great tips..I am hoping she has a moving plan..I am headed there to check it out now. :-)If anyone has tips on cutting the grocery bill...please share this with me

Summertime

The sounds of Summer are here. Frogs and crickets. Lightening bugs..brings back alot of memories! My neighbor and I used to catch them during the summer time and put them in jars. The days are getting longer. It is actually still light at 9pm! I love the Summer!

I made Paula Dean's cream biscuits this morning for breakfast..the kids say they are better than the one's made with crisco. The recipe can be found here http://www.pauladeen.com/

We are getting ready to meet my husband to look at some more property so I will have to add more later if time will allow. Please check out Candy's blog and read What is a lady http://www.keepingthehome.com/ Her blog is great..very inspiring lady.

Good Morning!

Good morning, friends! I hope that everyone had a great Father's Day. Not much going on here. We have been looking at some property. We looked at a house last night with nine acres. The house needs some work...the land is not exactly what we were looking for..I guess we will keep looking. :-) I would love to have alot of land so we will have alot of space to roam during our homeschool science time. Destiny has really had alot of fun with her new toys. She had a great party. My mom's pool is open now so we went swimming yesterday..well, the KIDS went swimming ..I just watched. Until the water gets " bath tub like" I don't think I will be joining in. I made Candy's quick bread ( from www.keepingthehome.com) yesterday for breakfast and the kids really liked it..I cheated and added chocolate chips to it. (Other than the chocolate, it is healthy) Or, it would have been healthy if they had not eaten the entire loaf in one day. :-) I am going to look on the computer now at a few homes and then get chores started for the day! God Bless and have a great day!

New bread

Just a quick note. I am going to try this white bread recipe sometime this week and will let you know how it turns out.
http://rockrecipes.blogspot.com/2007/10/homemade-white-bread.html

I have been making whole wheat, but thought this might be a nice treat since my boys are not too crazy about the whole "healthy eating" thing yet. :-)

Party Day!

It is party day for my two year old! We will be going to the park to have her party, and I am praying that it does not rain! Her gifts are so cute! I can't wait to post pictures. We stayed up late last night looking at Real Estate books, so I slept in this morning until seven. The kids are all still sleeping, and of course my precious husband is already working. We took the four wheelers to a friends house last night to play for a while. The boys had a good time. It is time to make breakfast, so I must go for now..I promised my youngest knight that I would make biscuits and gravy :-) Have a great day with your families!

A thought for the night...

I am getting ready to call it a night..my baby turned two today. It is exciting and sad. I love to watch my children grow, but I am sad to know that they are one step closer to leaving our home. I took the kids to Twin Falls today..it was very pretty, but not so fun to do without my husband. I did not feel safe without him. I am so blessed to have a wonderful family. My husband is the best! He is a hard working man who provides so much for our family. He allows me the opportunity to stay home to care for our children the way God intended. I have four great kids that I will be homeschooling next year. I am very excited about getting the chance to grow closer to my kids. I want more than anything for them to know Jesus and to learn of His love and mercy. I will be posting some pictures when I figure out how. ...good night and God bless!

New blogger

I am new to this ...I just wanted to start a post, I will figure out more and add later.
